FAQ'S
Who is eligible to apply
to volunteer through IEP?
All the countries have different
eligibility requirements but if you’re over 18 and you have
a great attitude, then we want to hear from you! Whether you’re
just finishing school, in the middle of tertiary study, looking
to take a career break or even if you’ve recently retired
- volunteering with IEP may be the best thing you’ve ever
done. To discuss your specific circumstances please contact IEP
on 1300 300 912.
How do we choose home stay
families?
Home stay families are chosen by
our partners based on a strict set of criteria, and are audited
and checked regularly.
What support do I have?
IEP will support you before, during
and after your placement, and throughout your placement you will
be supported by our partner organisation in your host country.
Are payment plans possible?
Yes. Contact IEP to discuss how you
can pay your program fee over a period of time.
Can I get involved in multiple
placements/multiple destinations?
Yes you can, although it may vary
from country to country. If your placement is located near to
other placements it may be possible – however some placements
may not allow for cross-over. We think it’s a great idea
if participants combine multiple overseas volunteer/work placements!
Are these destinations dangerous?
NO! If there were any concerns about
your safety we wouldn’t operate programs to these regions.
That being said we would encourage you to exercise common sense
and caution when on the road – remember these destinations
are very different to Australia!
