The Work
Australia program is available to anyone who meets the
following eligibility requirements:
For
US Passport holders:
To be eligible
for the 12 month 462 visa, you must:
- be a
US passport holder
- be aged
between 18 and 30
- be able
to prove funds of $AUD5000 (approximately $US3300)
- have
graduated from high school, but no post-secondary study is
required
- never
have previously been to Australia on a working holiday visa
- be outside
of Australia at the time of applying
- be able
to declare that you will not be accompanied by any dependent
children

people from Belgium, Canada, Republic of Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia,
Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Republic of Ireland, Italy,

Taiwan and United Kingdom:
To be eligible
for the 417 Working Holiday visa, you must:
- be aged
18-30 (inclusive) on the date you apply
- hold
a passport from an eligible country or region participating
with Australia on a working holiday visa
- never
have previously been to Australia on a working holiday visa
- be outside
of Australia at the time of applying
- be able
to show proof of funds totalling approximately AUD $5000.00
- be able
to declare that you will not be accompanied by any dependent
children
