IEP's WORK BRITAIN PROGRAM

IEP can make your working holiday as awesome as it should be! Work Britain is the toolkit that will make you stand out from the crowd. With IEP, you’ll be one step ahead of the 21,000 Australians that head over to work in the UK & Ireland every year. We have designed our programs so that you can enjoy the freedom of your big overseas trip and at the same time have support when you need it. You may have a bunch of mates already living in Earls Court but why go to the other side of the world to do the same old thing? IEP gives you the chance to get an awesome job, a great place to live and a whole bunch of new friends.

WORK BRITAIN FULLY LOADED - $250

Hit the ground running with everything you'll need to get started in the UK! Work Britain Fully Loaded includes:

  • Personal pre-departure support and advice from IEP
  • Long term accommodation assistance
  • Ongoing employment support and advice
  • Arrival Orientation
  • Mail holding and phone message forwarding service
  • Exclusive and unlimited use of BUNAC/IEP's Resource Centre in central London.
  • Free access to computers and local phone calls
  • 24hr emergency support from BUNAC in the UK
  • Work Britain guide to living and working in the UK
  • Brochures and maps to familiarise yourself with Britain.
  • UK Sim card
  • Free WiFi and internet
  • Discounts with various travel companies (including Haggis, Shamrocker, Contiki and International Friends)
  • Social Events
  • Free membership to International Student House in London - Access to cheap internet café, subsidised gym, bar and canteen, travel club, cheap films etc

Ongoing job support - over half of IEP members score a job within 3 days of arriving. We help with everything - writing a resume, cover letter, job contacts and referrals to employers and job agencies. It couldn’t be easier - we do all the hard stuff for you!

Assistance in finding great long-term accommodation – Past members suggest it is best to wait until you arrive in the UK to arrange long-term accommodation so you can check out the location, proximity to public transport and shops as well as the quality of the place. The BUNAC office has housing listings for flat shares, house-shares and room-mates. Keep in mind your income and how far you have to commute to work before signing a lease, it’s also a good idea to be flexible with where you live too.

Bank accounts/tax formalities - If you know anyone who has worked in the UK or Ireland then you’ve probably heard them whining about how hard it is to open up a bank account there (unless they were an IEP member, in which case they would have had no trouble!) IEP prides itself on taking the hassle out of these boring bits- so the first thing we’ll help you do on your arrival in the UK is help you open up a bank account.
