• Assistance in finding great long-term accommodation – Past members suggest it is best to wait until you arrive in the UK to arrange long-term accommodation so you can check out the location, proximity to public transport and shops as well as the quality of the place. The BUNAC office has housing listings for flat shares, house-shares and room-mates. Keep in mind your income and how far you have to commute to work before signing a lease, it’s also a good idea to be flexible with where you live too.

• Bank accounts/tax formalities - If you know anyone who has worked in the UK or Ireland then you’ve probably heard them whining about how hard it is to open up a bank account there (unless they were an IEP member, in which case they would have had no trouble!) IEP prides itself on taking the hassle out of these boring bits- so the first thing we’ll help you do on your arrival in the UK is help you open up a bank account.
