Canadian Lifestyle

Canadians are more than spoilt for choice when it comes to how to spend their down time. With such varied weather and stunning natural scenery throughout this incredible country you will find plenty of exciting options for your days off.

Summer Resorts:
Although better known for their winter resorts, Canada has a range of resorts that are just as busy during the summer. Incredible mountains, lakes and forests provide the perfect playground for mountain biking, hiking, canoeing, white water rafting and golf are some of the activities that take place during the warmer months.

Winter Resorts:
Knee deep powder and freezing temperatures mean a winter season of fun. Snowboarding and skiing are just the tip of the iceberg, try your hand at ice skating, snowmobiling or snow shoeing and experience a true white Christmas.

Ice Hockey:
Immersing yourself in a different culture means taking on the nation’s passion for sport and in Canada, we’re talking about ice hockey. Angry men wielding weapons (hockey sticks), racing after a little black puck and more often than not, losing a few teeth. The loyalty of fans and the excitement surrounding matches is inspiring to be a part of, but it is the vicious fights that take place that will make you sit back and go, ‘O Canada.’

Music Festivals:
In the spirit of summer fun, Canada has a couple of amazing outdoor music festivals you can party hard at Canadian style!

Virgin Festival in Toronto during September each year always boasts a fantastic line up with the likes of MGMT, Foo Fighters and Bloc Party.

For those of you into something a little more alternative, the Shambhala festival in August offers you the chance to camp and party at a non-alcoholic event with a variety of incredible artists.
