Eligibility & Applications

If you have working rights for Canada you are welcome to apply for the Work & Ski Canada Job Fair program. For most Australians this will mean applying for a two year working holiday visa. As a member of an IEP Work Canada program we can assist you with the visa application.

Eligibility for the two year Canadian working holiday visa are as follows:

• 18 – 30 years inclusive at time of application
  
  
• Have no accompanying dependents
  
  
• Hold an Australian Passport valid until at least six months after you intend to return to Australia
  
  
• Have evidence to show access to at least CAD $2,500 at your Canadian Port of Entry
  
  
• Hold a recent Australian Federal Police check

• Step 1 – Apply online for Work & Ski Canada

• Step 2 – Print off the program agreement, sign it and send it in with your payment

• Step 3 – Book in your pre-screening interview with IEP
  
  
• Step 4 – Once we receive confirmation of job numbers and positions from our employers, you will be granted access to our digital Employer Handbook which covers all employers interviewing, jobs available, what benefits are on offer, pay rates, start dates, length of contract etc

• Step 5 – Advise IEP of your two employer preferences.

• Step 6 - IEP will confirm your emplyers and interview times.
  
  
• Step 7 - Attend your interviews with at least two employers in your chosen city and find out on the day where you will be working in Canada.

If you have a serious medical condition; criminal convictions; or current charges pending, including DUI convictions; you may need to provide further documentation to the Canadian consulate. For more info on the visa, see the Canadian consulate website.
