Employers for the 2012 Work & Ski Canada Job Fairs will be confirmed in March/April. Please find below a brief summary of the fantastic employers who attended the IEP Job Fair in 2011!

Please use the following as a guide to IEP's Work & Ski Canada Job Fair employers.

Asessippi Ski Area & Resort

Asessippi is a very young ski area which has already exceeded all expectations. The resort was designed and built by a number of local businesses, but was primary led by the Russell Inn & Conference Centre. With 25 runs and 3 chair lifts, Asessippi is Manitoba’s largest and leading resort and welcomes an average 100,000 guests per season. The terrain is in the Shell River Valley so the view is beautiful and unique and the valley is full of wildlife, even in winter when it is not unusual to see numerous deer across the river. Asessippi is part of a larger provincial park that includes Lake of the Prairies.If you want to have a truly Canadian working holiday, living and working within a small community but with the benefits of a big ski resort, Asessippi might just be for you!

Asessippi hires for a range of positions, which in the past have included kitchen staff, Food and Beverage staff, Rentals, Lift Attendants and much more. 2011 Position Descriptions will be provided to Job Fair applicants prior to interview scheduling.

The Banff Centre

At the 2011 Work & Ski Canada Job Fairs, the Banff Lodging Company will be hiring for Room Attendants, Maintenance Assistants, Front Desk Agents, Experienced Line Cooks, Host/Hostesses, Night Auditor, Ski Shop Retail/Rental Agents and Dishwashers. Final confirmation of positions and Position Descriptions will be provided prior to interview scheduling.

Grouse Mountain

Grouse Mountain is located closer to a major city than any other ski resort in Canada. It’s just a 15 minute drive from downtown Vancouver, located in North Vancouver. Grouse Mountain offers a challenging and enjoyable work environment with a world of career opportunity.

Grouse Mountain is hiring for a wide range of roles, which includes lift operators, rental attendants, cashier/baristas, cooks and guest services.

Please note that Grouse Mountain does not offer staff housing however there is good availability of apartments to rent in North Vancouver and Vancouver.


Marmot Basin

Located just 20 minutes from the town of Jasper, Marmot Basin offers over 1600 acres of terrain, with trails catering to everyone from beginners to serious snow fanatics! This is your chance to experience everything that Canada has to offer, working in Jasper National Park while making the most of the fantastic location with easy access to all of Western Canada’s major cities. Marmot Basin hire for a range of roles. Although the positions for 2011 are not yet confirmed, in 2010 they hired for lift attendants, rental attendants, ticket sales, parking attendants and ski/snowboard instructors.

Panorama Mountain Village

Panorama Mountain Village is a family ski resort located in the Canadian Rockies region of British Columbia. Panorama offers first class on and off piste skiing and snowboarding, as well as a friendly pedestrian village in a mountain valley with rugged Canadian scenery.

Positions available at Panorama may include lift operators, customer service, food and beverage, bartenders, kitchen staff and cooks, guest services, housekeeping, rentals, sales, snowmakers and much more. 2011 positions will be confirmed soon.

Sunshine Village

Sunshine Village is located within the Banff National Park, in the Canadian Rockies of Alberta, and is renowned for its lengthy season from mid-November until late May. Just 15 minutes from the resort town of Banff, Sunshine Village offers over 3,300 acres of terrain on three mountains, with an average annual snowfall of over 30 feet! For snow bunnies this means paradise, and for everyone else it is simply an awesome mountain location with options for all!

In 2011, Sunshine Village will be hiring for Base Area Staff, Warehouse Attendants, Cleaning Staff, Cashier, Servers, Porters, Retail Staff, Gondola Operators, Guest Services, Cooks, Sous Chef, Dishwashers, Hotel Bell Person, Hotel Front Desk Agent, Hotel House Person, Hotel Maintenance, Hotel Night Audit, Room Attendants, Lift Operators, Rentals, Staff Accom Cleaners and Transport Reps. Full Position Descriptions will be available prior to interview scheduling.
