Asessippi Ski Area & Russell Inn & Conference Centre

Located on the border of Saskatchewan and Manitoba and about 3 hours north of the US border, these two companies work hand in hand to offer their guests outstanding hospitality and a wonderful winter experience. If you want to have a truly Canadian working holiday, living and working within a small community but with the benefits of a big ski resort, these employers are for you!

Asessippi:
Asessippi is a very young ski area which has already exceeded all expectations. The resort was designed and built by a number of local businesses, but was primary led by the Russell Inn & Conference Centre. With 25 runs and 3 chair lifts, Asessippi is Manitoba’s largest and leading resort and welcomes an average 100,000 guests per season. The terrain is in the Shell River Valley so the view is beautiful and unique and the valley is full of wildlife, even in winter when it is not unusual to see numerous deer across the river. Asessippi is part of a larger provincial park that includes Lake of the Prairies.

Housing: A few different options are available; rent is deducted from your pay cheque every two weeks.

Russell Inn:
Located just 12 minutes from Asessippi Ski area & Resort in the community of Russell Manitoba, The Russell Inn Hotel & Conference Centre is a year-round, first class facility that has been providing a wide range of hospitality services to thousands of skiers, travellers, and conference guests as well as our local community for over 38 years.

Russell is home to approximately 1600 people and is the hub of the region. It is centrally located close to several larger centres in Manitoba and Saskatchewan, allowing easy access to urban amenities. Benefits of working with the Russell Inn include low cost of living, high quality of life, friendly people, and access to all the employee benefits . Russell combines the beauty of rural life with many of the benefits of urban living. Russell is also centrally located at the hub of 3 parks: Riding Mountain National Park, Asessippi Provincial Park and Duck Mountain Provincial Park.

Housing: The Russell Inn arranges accommodation for successful applicants at an approximate cost of $6 - $9 per person per day.


The Banff Centre

  • Pantry cooks, room attendants/building service workers, front desk clerks, food and beverage servers/hosts.
Housing: Staff accommodation is available only to Banff Centre Staff and is subject to availability.

Chateau Whistler Resort
Whistler is a world-famous four-season resort area situated less than two hours Vancouver. The Chateau Whistler is a full service resort with over 550 rooms and a wealth of facilities. Whistler can safely guarantee that you will never be bored!

Housing: Subsidised housing is available for staff.

Grouse Mountain
Grouse Mountain is located closer to a major city than any other ski resort in Canada. It’s just a 15 minute drive from downtown Vancouver, located in the city of Northern Vancouver. Grouse Mountain offers a challenging and enjoyable work environment with a world of career opportunity.

  • Hiring cooks, servers, dishwashers, snow groomers, guest services representatives, ice rink attendants, lift operators, rental supervisors, rental technicians, ski instructors, ski patrol, skyride operators, sleigh operator, snowmakers, terrain park rangers.
Housing: No housing is included however there is good availability of apartments to rent in North Vancouver and Vancouver.


Marmot Basin
Located just 20 minutes from the town of Jasper, Marmot Basin offers over 1600 acres of terrain, with trails catering to everyone from beginners to serious snow fanatics! This is your chance to experience everything that Canada has to offer, working in Jasper National Park while making the most of the fantastic location with easy access to all of Western Canada’s major cities. Panorama Mountain Village
Panorama Mountain Village is a family ski resort located in the Canadian Rockies region of British Columbia. Panorama offers first class on and off piste skiing and snowboarding, as well as a friendly pedestrian village in a mountain valley with rugged Canadian scenery.

  • Lift operators, cashiers, restaurant attendants, bartenders, bussers, dishwashers, cooks, front desk, guest services, reservations, bellmen, activities staff, area attendants, pool attendants/maintenance, room attendants, storeroom clerks, rental technicians, bootfitters, Showcase supervisor, sales clerks, and snowmaker and snow removalists.
Housing: We have some of the best staff housing in Canada and can house almost half of our seasonal staff!

Panorama- Bringing the Aussie to Pano!



Sunshine Village
Sunshine Village is located within the Banff National Park, in the Canadian Rockies of Alberta, and is renowned for its lengthy season from mid-November until late May. Just 15 minutes from the resort town of Banff, Sunshine Village offers over 3,300 acres of terrain on three mountains, with an average annual snowfall of over 30 feet! For snow bunnies this means paradise, and for everyone else it is simply an awesome mountain location with options for all!

  • Lift attendants, gondola operators, trail crew, base area attendants, rental shop staff, rental technicians, bus hosts, servers, bartenders, restaurant supervisors, hotel desk staff, housekeeping, guest service staff, sous chefs, kitchen staff, administration, day care attendants, HR staff, sales associates, baristas.
Housing: Some staff housing is available. Approximately 88 of the jobs we are hiring for at the IEP fair will come with housing.
