If you’re a full time tertiary student who has completed at least your first year of study, a student planning to defer who has completed at least one year of study, or a recent tertiary graduate (within the last 12 months), you’re likely to be eligible for one of our Work USA options.

APPLYING FOR WORK USA (12 month option)

Eligibility

To apply for IEP’s Work USA programs, applicants must have working rights for the USA. To be eligible for the 12 month USA Working Holiday visa you must be verified by your tertiary institution as either:

• Currently enrolled in a full time tertiary university or TAFE course, and have completed at least one year of your course.
• OR A recent graduate arriving into the US within 12 months of the final day of your graduating semester.

When applying to the Work USA program you are required to submit your online application form with your completed Program Agreement, which includes the student status form that is to be signed and stamped by your tertiary register or student administration officer.

Once this paperwork has been assessed IEP can then begin the process of organising your visa.  To apply you must:

• Complete the online application form
• Complete a signed and stamped university/TAFE authorisation form
• Complete a program agreement and payment form
• Complete a completed reference

These forms must then be sent to IEP with:

• Your payment
• A copy of your passport
• A copy of your student ID card (both front and back)
• Previous J1 visas copies (if applicable)
• Job Offer letter (if applicable)

OTHER COSTS TO CONSIDER:

• US visa: $306.80 (total)
• SEVIS and visa photos: $70 approx.
• Proof of funds (US$):
  • Work USA: $1000-2000
  • Work USA Old School: $500-1000
